My name is Joshua Eayre, my son Tristan studies and practices Jiu jitsu at Dark horse in Longmont, he started studying when he was 8 years old nearly 9, He is 11 years old now. I really wanted him to find a healthy and safe place for him to channel his energy, it was clear for him almost immediately that he had found another sport that he could really compete in, that would not be easily mastered. I think that for my son he loves to be challenged, and Jiu jitsu does that. I have seen him grow not only Physically but emotionally and mentally as well. Dark horse in Longmont has a nice way of not only teaching Jiu jitsu techniques but also respect, discipline, and social interaction with others, the coaches and Professor really do well to talk and explain things to the kids in a way that I think really works. I have seen good changes in my son with his time here at Dark horse, he took a break for Football and decided he wanted to return, for me that said something because Jiu jitsu is work, but I Think he also has a lot of fun here too. If anyone were to ask me if it would be good for thier child, my answer would be absolutely, the change that I have seen in my son makes me proud, he has always been pretty well adjusted but he has a calm confidence now that I love to see, one that I am sure any parent would want for thier child also. I make sacrifices with time to bring my son,but the time is well worth it.
Proud Dad,
Joshua Eayre
